As I draft this message, 2022 is almost over. We, as Newcomers, have experienced so much this calendar year. We’ve said goodbye to some special people; we’ve added many Newcomer friends; we’ve supported many non- profits in our community and become aware of others who could use our help; we’ve seen our luncheons and other activities continue to come to life after the COVID shutdown; we’ve given of our time, talents, money, and toys as a group
Thank you to all who have made everything possible. Thank you to Bobette Spear for getting our luncheon entertainment/enrichment for us. Thank you to Irene Calderon for handling our finances and being a great steward for us. Thank you to Sue Olari for capturing conversations at Board meetings and turning them into minutes that capture the gist of those conversations. Thank you to Judy Peck for serving as our Corresponding Secretary. Thank you to Cheryl Deeter for keeping track of our membership information. Thank you to Carrol Pitts for sending out our “we’re thinking of you” notes. Thank you to Kay Rorick for the creative luncheon table decorations. Thank you to Kim Stokes for working with Bluegrass to make sure the luncheon food and other logistics are well planned out. Thank you to Joan Blanich for creating and sending out our amazing Newsletters. Thank you to Jane Birckhead for producing and distributing our Directory and being my technical advisor. Thank you to Connie Maynord for being our photographer extraordinaire. Thank you to Marsha Taylor and Connie Schroeck for assisting the hostesses at all of our coffees. Thank you to Rita Krupp for handling our reservations and sending out all of the blasts telling or reminding us of important stuff happening in our club. Thank you to Lynda Evjen and Connie Maynord for publicizing what we do. Thank you to Mary Lou McNabb and her committee for managing the Giving Tree candy sales! Thank you to Lockey Rodden for being our Activities coordinator. Thank you all who lead our various activities – you just can’t imagine what these activities do for all of us who enjoy them. Thank you to our entire membership for your support,
2023 holds such promise – we can do whatever we put our minds and hearts into.
HAPPY NEW YEAR ….
I wish you continued good health,
Carol
