February Charity is Salvus Center, Inc.

logo[1]Charity of the Month: Salvus Center, Inc. Partners in Health was founded in 2005 and is a faith-based health center that seeks to reclaim the Biblical and historical commitment to care for those who are sick and in need so they might experience wholeness, wellness and healing. They provide medical and dental care to those in Sumner County who are working and have no medical insurance. This is a “hand-up” for those who are working every day to keep a roof over their head and food on the table. Patients pay a fee for their office visit, which is based on a sliding scale determined by family income and the number of dependents in the home.

As a nonprofit organization, Salvus Center operations are primarily funded by nonprofit grants and individuals. They partner with Hendersonville Medical Center and Sumner Medical Center and nearly every specialty physician in Sumner County to ensure that the patient receives total care from examinations to diagnosis to treatment.

Proceeds from our Money Tree Fundraiser will help support Salvus Center as it reaches out to those in need in our county. Please join in this effort by purchasing candy from Sharyn Evans, Fundraising Director, at our February Luncheon. Depending on how much candy you buy, you will receive free raffle tickets. It will support a great cause and you may win $50 in the drawing!
