Jim Myers, of the Tennessean

November Luncheon

This month we welcomed Jim Myers, Food & Drink Columnist, Entertainment & Lifestyles of the Tennessean.

An award-winning food journalist, Myers previously worked for Citysearch as an editor and as part of the National Restaurant Strategy team, and then later at The Tennessean as a features writer and restaurant critic. He has also written for national publications including “Bon Appétit” and “Garden and Gun” and his work has been included in “Cornbread Nation: The best of Southern Food Writing.
Jim gave us the inside scoop on the nature of the restaurant scene in Nashville and gave the tip of his hat to some of his favorite dining spots. Thank you Jim.
This month’s money tree beneficiary was the Sumner County Food-bank, just in time for Thanksgiving.
Next month’s luncheon will take place on December 8th and rather than door-prizes, we will be doing an exchange of Christmas ornaments. Bring a wrapped ornament with a value of no more than $10.00 to exchange! Make your Reservations for  the luncheon, you now have three options – you can send an email to newcomersluncheon@gmail.com, or call or text Kay Rorick at 260-602-4551.  We need to have your reservation no later than 8:00pm on the Monday evening prior to the luncheon.
